2000 Alero won't start...clicking behind glovebox?coppaphil 01-13-2006, 12:19 AM I've had nothing but problems from this thing since day one, but that's not uncommon to hear. If my credit were better, this thing would be gone!! Anyway, my one of my current problems, or at least the most pressing is this....the car won't start...the car isn't getting any juice at all. I pulled into Sonic, shut the car off, and that's where it sits. When I turn the key, nothing happens. The strange part is that when anything is done that would ordinarily require power, there is a clicking sound coming from behind/under the glovebox. I checked the passenger side fusebox, and it's not coming from in there. I don't know if there's some kind of relay or in-line fuse or something back there, but it clicks when I turn the key, open the door, try the power windows....just anything that would pull juice. So if someone could please tell me what's clicking, and how to replace it, that would be very much appreciated. Thank you very much. ...and if I ever get this one taken care of, there's lots more to post!! tomeopaste 01-16-2006, 12:06 PM Sorry I can not tell you what the clicking sound is, but I recently had my alternator go, which creates the same issue as the one that you are having, and anyway I had the same clicking sound happen once my juice was substantially drained... I replaced the alternator, charged the battery and everything is kosher now vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
