question on an '04 venture rear wiper set up.

Last night i went to use the washers on the rear window, and the wiper wiped like 2x and stopped at the 10 o'clock position (park being 3 o'clock). i thought maybe i blew a fuse or something. but i ruled that out once i ran the washer to the rear window again (the fuse that runs the wiper also runs the washer pump)

so, leaving the van on, and the wiper switch on, i went out and i gently pushed the wiper arm up. and it traveled on its own and parked.

i had to do this 2x, then it seemed to go away and have no more issues.

this van is still under warranty, should i take this in and have a new motor installed? chances are that when i get it to the dealer, its going to work properly for them.

it seems that the motor wasn't strong enough to bring the wiper back to park position.

any thoughts?

I would have it checked out since it's still under warranty. Just describe to the dealer what you listed here, as you are right, it probably won't do it for the dealer, and they won't be able to re-create it either  My '97 started doing the same exact thing last year. Now, it has progressed to where you hit the switch for the rear wiper, and it does one pass, and on it's return will stop in the same spot you describe and then the motor will emit this "grinding" noise. The only way to stop this noise is to get out of the van and gently push the wiper arm back to it's resting spot. I plan to replace the motor this coming spring, when the weather is better.
