I am having a hard time replacing the water pump on my 92 PA. I can't seem to get the damaged pump off. Any help? I don't have the money to go and get the book. Please advise.

Thank you for any help available.

I have the chilton manual availible to me. I will hook up my scanner and be more than happy to scan the pages and send them to you on removal. I have my scanner coming tomorrow and will get them in after i get in from my normal job...

I have a 92 that goes through water pumps every 2 years .This is what I found. In the manual it just says take the belt off and the fan bolts then the pump bolts and it just falls off. There was a bracket that covers 2 bolts that have access holes that are almost impossible to get 2. I break the top mount loose then jack up the motor remove the bracket and fan. Then all there is plenty of room to work. If you've taken all the bolts out and the pump cannot be broke loose try hitting it with a soft mallet or use somthing thin and sharp to get between the pump and block but be careful of not using something 2 big since its all aluminum down there and you dont want to score up the block. The pump might have been put on with some nasty sealer that gets real hard and sticks good. I use silicone ,thin bead and no problems. Also check that you have ALL the pump bolts out. You may miss 1 and wonder why it does'nt come off. Anti seize on the bolts going back in will help getten them out next time--Hope some of this helps. Any thing else I can steer you on just ask.----Chris
