Wiring Socket under drivers seat.

I have a '00 Dodge CG.
On my other '00 GC there where no wires under the drivers seat (Van is now totalled).
On this replacement van I noticed that there is a socket. Does anyone know what it is for and have a diagram of the socket.
My two guesses are provision for CD player or Power Seats, neither of which it has.

It is probably the ODB-II connector. This is where you plug in a scan tool to read the "Scan Codes". I beleive that ODB stands for Onboard Diagnostics someting. All cars manufactured since 96 have this connector. Google ODB-II, and see if the picture matches the socket you found.
Otherwise you may be right about a plug for some option. Depending on the price class (Economy, Lo-Line, Hi-line Luxury.etc) there could be a differant harness with differant options. Google "VIN Number decoders" and you could learn a lot about the two vans.

Some have a Memory seat/mirrow module under drivers seat.
If nothing is pluged into it no problem. It is just there for the ones that have something to plug into it.

Power Seat would be my first guess. Data port connector is under the dash by parking brake.

I was thinking is was for the power seat option. I think that it is weird that my other 'CG didn't have the plug there, both are SE models.
