I was driving my van the surpentine belt blew off it continuned to run the it died like it wasnt getting fuel. I replaced the belt and now the engine cranks but wont start. I check for spark while turning the engine over with a screwdrivewr in the plug wire I have spark. I also checked for spark with the plug in the wire out of the engine i have spark. The engine is giving compression because, i turned it over with a plug out and air came out. When I pulled the pluygs out the were all fouled with gas so I pulled them all and let it air out for a day, reinstalled them and still it crancks and wants to start but doesnt. I tried this three time over three days. Each time the plugs come outsoaked in gas so it is getting fuel. Its getting spark, fuel and compression. I even tried turning the engine over and lighting a match next to the open plug area to burn out the cylider from execcss fuel and reinstaled the plugs still nothing. I am about at my end with this Van any help would be great. I am going to order new wires and plugs and let it sit for a week without the plugs in to see if thats the problem. I also tried starting the vehicle after drying it out with the acceleration pedal all the way to the floor so as to just have air go in the carb, still nada. please any help would be great.

What size engine do you have? (2.4,3.0,3.3) If you have the 3.3 and you drove it long with a broken belt your water pump is disabled you may have overheated it and possibly blew the headgaskets.

Measure the compression with a compression gauge - make sure it's within design specs.
Could your timing belt have slipped a tooth or two? Pull the TB cover off and make sure the timing marks are aligned.

Have you checked for stored trouble codes?

When you drove the van till it quit, you probably killed the battery. Since the alternator was disabled due to the broken belt, there wasn't enough voltage getting to any the sensors and the ECM. This would cause the ECM to be full of corrupt engine data. I would suggest you being sure your battery is at full charge. Disconnect the battery and let the ECM reset to factory resets. After it has time to reset, reconnect the battery and attempt to start the engine. If it starts it will probably not run properly till you drive it for a while. It usually takes at least 15 to 35 miles for the ECM to reset to proper engine conditions.
