Interior equipment fuse box on 98 Camry Soilent Green 01-07-2006, 05:22 PM
My repair manual states that it's at the bottom left under the steering wheel but all there is is a little compartment useful for storing illegal things and no fusebox. The Avalon had a little opening panel so I'm guessing mine is in a different location or in the engine compartment along with the rest of the other electrical safety devices? Wy winshield washer is not working I get absolutely no reaction whatsoever when I pull the lever except for the wipers starting and the lights behind the heater and a/c controls aren't working either. The left light of the A/C control came back on for some time and went out again last week so I'm guessing it's a wire failure unrelated to the winshield washer but I want to check the fuses out anyways. Also, when I bought the car the auto tranny shifter light bulb was also burned and I changed it. Oh yeah and I checked in the FAQ because I'm a responsible poster but didn't find exact information or maybe read a bit too fast so just tell me where is my interior instruments fuse box. Thanks in advance. InstallTech 01-07-2006, 06:24 PM As for the fuse box, I believe that little "illegal" storage pocket pulls out, and you access the fuse panel behind that. Thank you kind sir. camry98le 01-09-2006, 12:53 AM The lights behind the heater and a/c controls ......... I think there's a bad design. all gen4 camry has the same prolem. Just give it a gentle tap and it should work. It is annoying as you have to do it everytime you want it to light up(your headlights have to be on too). You windshield washer problem. Check to see if you have the holes blocked. take a needle and gently poke through the holes where the fluid is suppose to come out. Try it and see if it works. also, I know this may sound stupid, is your windsheild washer fluid reservoir empty? Soilent Green 01-09-2006, 07:23 PM I tried gentle and hard taps but it didn't come back on so after checking the fuses I'm gonna take it out and see if I can tight something up so it stops doing that. When I bought the car the washer reservoir was empty so I bought some and poured it in there until full and this is where I realized it weren't working, and now oddly enough the reservoir is empty again so I'm guessing there's a leak somewhere around the pump but I still want to check the fuses because I'm guessing even in the event of a leak I would still hear the pump try in vain or something like that. All I could hear when I put my head in the engine case and have a friend pull the levers are funny music and voices because of the engine fumes.... Thanks anyway, f'you think about anything else, please consider replying :) Related Links Enter the largest automotive community on the planet! |
