I have a 1999Ram 1500 Quadcab 5.9l. I bought it in Sept. 2003. When I bought the truck, there was and still is a sticker mounted under the hood in front of the radiator. The sticker says:

The following modifications have been made:
FLASH 56040150AG

It also gives an authorization code and the date the mod was done on (11-04-02)

I have asked several dealerships and mechanics what this code is and no one has been able to tell me. I figured this would be the place to ask since there are so many very knowledgable people here.
What does this code mean? I know it is something pertaining to the puter in the truck.

could the authorization code be 18-04-02 if so this flash update is for spark knock wich opens another window on the DRB3 scan tool that allows tech to retard timing
