You might first try going to the Chrysler forum and then select "Sebring". Here, I'll do it for you;

Very Very easy to get to the cluster. I had to buy a new one which I Found one on Ebay for $100 works perfect. I was like You and thought that it might be the plugs but they are so tight it wasn't funny. This was a common problem for chrysler in this year. Trust me You need a new cluster. Anyway the steps to getting to the cluster are as follows.

*******Make sure steering wheel is in down most position*******

1. Remove the fuse box lid on the side panal beside driver door.

2. There is a screw on the side right near the vent. remove it.

3. Remove the radio and heater control bezel by just pulling evenly on top and bottom of the bezel it just pops in and out.

4. Once that is done You should see four screws one on each side of the radio and two on the bottom , remove those and pull gently all around the dash it should simply pop out. Lay it to the side somewhere. The hardest part with this for me was above the steering wheel but I just kept gently tugging and it finaly let go.

5. There are four screw holding the cluster easily viewable at this stage remove those two on top two on bottom.

6. Flip the cluster You should see two plugs one red and one blue. The have a clip on the side that You need to press outward on to let the clip let go. You should see at this point it isn't the plugs.

of course installation is oposit of removal.

Good luck with this. It was so easy it took me about 10 minutes to get to it and I am a girl............

If you need diagrams I can email copies of my manuel to You. let me know

I have a '97 with the same problem as everyone else: the odometer and tachometer work only when they feel like it. I have a sure fire plan that can fix it for good though. I guarantee 100% that it will work. If you want to fix your odometer and tach for good, check out the following site:
http://members.cox.net/dpeters30/97_sebring_dash.htm
This helpful site shows pictures and detailed explanations for every step of the process. I easily completed this project within an hour with very few tools. The only tricky part is soldering well, but that is just my lack of skill. All in all, it's an easy, permanent fix to an annoying problem. If you do everything according to that site, I guarantee you will be satisfied with a tach and odometer that work perfectly. Good luck!
