lately i have had this problem where my e-brake light goes on when i hit the gas. does anyone know why this is. any help would be appreciated.

this is a very common problem on the srt's. top off your brake master cylinder resivore (ignore the spelling, no sleep and 10 hours of busy work have shot the brain!)

its just a regular ole neon i cant afford srt power yet im only 18

$10 says its low fluid. dont stress about the srt. i was just lucky enough to have a great job when i turned 18

that would be pretty nice. but my dad has one of those 2.4 DOHC (from the voyager i heard they fit) motors that he said i can swap into my neon as soon as i get the money. so im lookin forward to doin that. thanks for all your help but one more question. where would i find the brake master cylinder?

Thanks guys. that was the problem. i checked my brake fluid and it was about 1/4 of an inch low. but what could have caused it to lose fluid?

fluid fills the calipers as the pads wear. because this fluid is transfered to the caliper from the master, teh master level decreases. what DCX should hav edone was increase the size of the master resivoir a tiny bit. that woudl have saved all the problems

i have an 04 srt and i had the same problem w/ the light...it was only coming on during hard acceleration then gradually came on more and more then eventually stayed on....it just comes on when u need new pads/brake fluid.
