I have a 98 Dakota P/u, after i shut it down for the night and attempt to start it in the morning or after it has sat for 8-10 hours it takes a long time to start, finally when it does start it runs fine, shut it off right away and it starts back up and runs fine. help I need ideas

Check first for fuel pressure befor you start it in the morning. Is it in spec?
