vibration in steering wheel at idleTodd D. 01-03-2006, 10:12 PM Is this common?? If I apply pressure up or down it goes away. Maybe something is worn or loose?? Doesn't really bother me but my wife would like it fixed. KimMG 01-04-2006, 01:35 AM What are you applying pressure on? What year is your vehicle? Is it doing this while the car is in park? Todd D. 01-04-2006, 11:06 AM What are you applying pressure on? What year is your vehicle? Is it doing this while the car is in park? If I apply pressure up or down against the steering wheel. '99 w/ auto tranny It will vibrate in park or drive. If I put it in neutral it's not quite as bad. I think this is because of a slight change in rpm's. Todd D. 01-21-2006, 06:05 PM Still looking for help with this. If I keep the rpm's up around 1000 the vibration goes away. When it drops to idle (especially when it's in drive) it vibrates bad. Thanks for any help. RahX 01-21-2006, 08:08 PM check your motor mounts and whatnot. Todd D. 04-06-2006, 03:26 PM It has been awhile but I finally got around to investigating this problem. I removed the plastic steering column cover and found one bolt loose that holds the column and the other was missing. Tightened the bolt and found a replacement for the other and all is well. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
