allright folks, i dont own a Monte Carlo, in fact I own an Intrigue, but please take some time to help out a fellow W-body.

Im wanting to upgrade the brakes on my car and im too cheap to spring for the GM Performance kit.

I know that some GM cars came stock with 12" rotors which is what im looking to upgrade too.

My main concern is finding the caliper mounting brackets, which is part # 18029829

If you run that part # at gmpartsdirect.com, it shows those mounting brackets appearing on ALL Impalas and Monte Carlos from 2000-2003.

I called a local scrapyard and talked to a guy who seemed to know what he was talking about and he said that he didnt have any cars (had about 16 Montes/Impalas) that would fulfill what im trying to do.

My main concern is finding the caliper brackets, because obviously the rotors will be there too.

Any input would be appreciated, thanks a lot
