1997 bonneville radio

My radio is dark,no clock number or station numbers but it does work, how do I fix it?

I had the same problem. Did a knuckle thump just to the right of the display. Right index finger knucle. Problem keeps coming back. Knucke thump works every time. 1997 Boneville SE stock radio cassette.

Unless your very handy, I'd send this in (to corvette radios) or have a skilled DIYer do this.

I just got a beautiful, perfect condition used 1998 Bonneville SSei and the only thing wrong with it is the led display on the radio is not lighting up and the heads up display is also not lighting up. i suppose the instructions provided for the radio will work for me too, but what about the heads up display?

Strange....the day after i posted that message, the heads up just came on by itself. very odd. anyway....does anyone know the procedure for getting the radio out of the dash in order to change the lightbulb for the display?
