Hey guys. That problem annoys me pretty much actually. The Fan works on time on 2 . Its really a guess for me, it may work when i start it, or it may not. Also, this problem occurs mostly in cold cold weather, and i live in Montreal, QC, so i know whats cold, lol.

Anyways, i'v had the same problem in my old 91 park avenue, where the fan wouldn't work half the time. My mechanic tried soldering the wire that goes in the blower motor. but didn't fix it. Actually, i dont mind the cold.. its not a big deal for me, the deal is when i am cruising with my friends, and my windows are all clogged... i mean, i have to leave my windows open.. when i am driving with a -20 degree temperature outside, with 3 people inside.

Oh yea, the main reason, is that my gf complains about it, and i have no idea what it could be. In summer, the fan works great.. never lets me down on AC.. and in the winter. when the fan works, it heats very well. So.. what do you guys think? Maybe its cause my 3 10" subs in my trunk are tunking too much? lmao, too much vibration? hehe. Park avenue Rocks with all that space in the trunk

I know back when I spent several winters in Montreal, It was so cold, that it was even difficult for "me", to work in those conditions! By the way, beautiful city and the best food anywhere!!
:grinyes:
When a car is cold, it takes more amperage to start the fan motor and the wires & connectors get hotter. If you have a poor contact point, it will try to arc across the bad connection and create even further resistance. You could have a poor connection at the fan speed control module located in the fan box. It is under the relay & fuse center on passenger side. Also, the module itself could be feeling the effects of the frigid weather. When the fan does not run, try running a fused 10 gage wire direct from the battery to the fan motor and see if it runs. If it does, you have a problem such as described above. Do not leave the jumper wire on, unless it is connected with a fuse, relay and switch!!

Otherwise it will look like this; :newburn:
