I have a 92 booneville 3.8 SE with 228679 miles on it.It takes spells
when it wants to run and then it don't. Sometimes the car may run for a hour before it shuts off ( seems to do it when the engine gets warm, other times maybe 5-10 minutes and wont restart for quite sometime. It has fuel pressure but no spark when this happens I do have a set of noid lights for the injecter pulse but have not tested those yet, I took the ignition module out took the coil packs off and thier is a bubble in the middle of the module that looks like it has been hot and weakend the protective gel around it. But after doing some reserch i think the problem is in the module after calling afew friends of mine in the salvage buisness all say that the car has 1 of 2 different modules on it either a delco or a magnavox everyone has a delco but noone has a magnavox module is their a problem with magnavox style modules going out verses the delco.

THere have been rather similar cases in this forum where the replacement of the Crank Position Sensor saved the day.
IN case you want to explore this avenue, check these out:
