i have a 1985 D350 Custom
V8 360 cid (2 wheel drive)

I think that I know what the problem is, I have been learning a little, but I don't know for sure. I installed a newer carb, Q-Jet 4Barrel, and ever since I installed it, when I attempt full throttle when it is cooler out, it *"POPS"* and the truck either completely dies or begins to decelerate unless I pump the gas pedal. I ensured a good, complete/solid connection with all of the hoses. I think that the motor is running, um too rich? Meaning that too much fuel is being introduced into the combustion chamber. Well I am attempting to learn what I can about vehicles, and anyone offering assistance to this problem will help me better my knowlege. Thank you all, and have a great New Year.
