1997 Tahoe won't startdbrich100 12-24-2005, 12:43 PM I have a remote starter in my 1997 2dr. Tahoe. I remote started it, got in, and I must have at the perfect (or not perfect) time pressed the brake (shutting engine off) and turned the key to the on position. The engine dieselled for 2 seconds then died. Now, when I try to start it, the fuel pump doesn't whir, and it won't start. Does anyone have any idea what may have happened? I did replace the fuel pump relay, but it didn't make a difference. Is it possible that my fuel pump just so happened to fail at that exact time? Need help!!! Should I remove the car starter?
