2005 Caravan slight burning smell

I just bought a 2005 Grand Caravan SE. It's still under warranty, and seems to run great. However, I noticed a slight burning smell (like wood) mostly from the driver's side. There are no lights on the dashboard, and it seems to be running fine/ What could this be? I just got it serviced, and there were no problems (they replaced the power steering fluid). It was cold last night, so I am not sure if this has to do with warming the car enough, or maybe it's a brake thing. The smell isn't alarming, but I just got the car and I'm a little nervous. Any suggestions?

Welcome to AF on your first post.
Raise the hood and have a look around.
Why did they replace the PS fluid?
Did they spill some?
You really need to take it back in and have them check things over.

The PS was low, so they replaced it. The service center, checked the hoses and everything was fine, so they just flushed it out and replased the fluid. My wife drove the car this morning and she said she didn't smell anything; I might be paranoid. I just called the Service center, and I said I'd bring it in after the weekend if I still smelled anything. I undersatnd that Caravan's have had problems with PS, especially in the cold. I'm not really panicking because the car runs fine, plus I have the bumper-to-bumper. I'd just feel better knowing what it was. Thanks for your help.

I wouldn't worry about when they are new the catalytic converter will smell for the first few times it runs when it heats up , it will probably go away within a couple of weeks ...

It's actually not new. I bought it with 15,000 miles on it (from a reliable dealer, so I'm not worried about getting taken). Haven't noticed anything else, and I am really enjoying the ride. Unless I notice anything else (sounds, worse smells, leaking, etc.), I'll just wait it out like you said. Thanks.

Just an update for those who actually care. I took it to the mechanic who said everything was normal. So I feel a little better (because we all get a little paranoid after we make a big purchase).

Thanks for posting back and letting us know how it went. We are glad everything checked out ok.
Better to be safe than sorry.
