Last year I had my brakes changed by the dealer and noticed a squeak when I stopped. It didn't happen all the time..like when I wanted my husband to hear it, so I just let it go. Now it happens all the time only when I am coming to a complete stop. My husband rotated my tires a few days ago and we have narrowed the noise to my left back wheel. He suggested the suspension but thinks it may be the breaks...I'm not sure...any thoughts?

Is it a single squeek or more a squeek squeek squeek that would be related to the wheel turning? If it was a single, I'd look at rubber components wearing out. If it was a squeek squeek squeek, I'd look at wheel/hub/brake issues.

Its more like a long drawn out squeak

Hm.. I guess it could be either then. A suspension squeak would probably also squeak with a weight shift. If you bounce on the bumper or rock the van does it squeak?

I had the same problem about 6 months ago. This may help:

-remove the rear tire and rotor and spray down brakes with a good brake cleaner.

Yes, it squeaks when we bounce it.

Turns out it was the cylinder leaking. The leak must have been very slow because we didn't see it. They fixed it yesterday and it was covered under my extended warrenty.
