It could be a couple things-It sounds like you might be losing fuel pressure-I would check the fuel pressure regulator located under the top cover for the engine-If that's not it, it might the fuel pump or unlikely the fuel injectors leaking down- i8uiky 12-21-2005, 08:59 PM It could be a couple things-It sounds like you might be losing fuel pressure-I would check the fuel pressure regulator located under the top cover for the engine-If that's not it, it might the fuel pump or unlikely the fuel injectors leaking down- the fuel pressure buiilds up when I turn the key on and when I check the service valve it has plenty of pressure. Yeah it will-But when starting the vehicle the pressure regulator isn't holding the fuel pressure- That's why you get the extended crank- Because the fuel pump has to pump fuel all the from the rear to the front-That's the purpose of the regulator is to hold fuel pressure in the fuel rail--Let me know how it turns out-- i8uiky 12-23-2005, 08:41 PM Yeah it will-But when starting the vehicle the pressure regulator isn't holding the fuel pressure- That's why you get the extended crank- Because the fuel pump has to pump fuel all the from the rear to the front-That's the purpose of the regulator is to hold fuel pressure in the fuel rail--Let me know how it turns out-- fuel pressure during crank is 45 psi vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
