I just bought a new neon (2000 ES 5 speed) my old 1996 neon had a short ram so I didnt had to worry about water getting into it when it rained or snow. I noticed that for the 2000 neons because of the location they dont really make real short rams. Then i saw a fenderwell one on ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DODGE-NEON-2-0L-COLD-AIR-INTAKE-00-05-FENDERWELL-2PCS_W0QQitemZ8023433464QQcategoryZ38634QQrdZ1QQcm dZViewItem) Has anyone ever used these? I had a bad experience installing once of these in a 1999 mustang, it wouldnt exacly fit. Has anyone had any experience with these? How does it compare to a reg cold air intake like this one (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/00-04-DODGE-NEON-COLD-AIR-INTAKE-KIT-W-FILTER-03-04-R_W0QQitemZ8023127494QQcategoryZ38634QQrdZ1QQcmdZV iewItem) MY main concern is that when i hit a deep puddle water doesnt get into my system

Short Ram Intake's are usually prettier stock intakes. They don't add much if any HP. Go with a cold air intake, like the AEM one pictured below. Puddles should not bother you unless you keep the filter submerged in water.
