-10 F carburated 2.8L, no choke OverBoardProject 12-18-2005, 11:34 AM
And my Blazer still started right up  Just though that I would share that unbe 12-18-2005, 02:43 PM And my Blazer still started right up  Just though that I would share that Dude,Ive had cars fire right up at -28f OverBoardProject 12-18-2005, 02:50 PM But carbutated, no choke, and not plugged in. No starter fluid. Possible, but not likely. I've seen several fuel injected vehicles not start today, and 1 was even plugged in unbe 12-18-2005, 03:06 PM What do you mean by no choke, did you disable the choke that came on your truck, where do you live you make it sound like -10 is a big deal where I live people expect their vehicles to start at that temp OverBoardProject 12-18-2005, 03:22 PM I call BS, Looking at Dodgville Wisconsin's average temperature chart http://pics.city-data.com/w1/lha23817.png Found on this web site http://www.city-data.com/city/Dodgeville-Wisconsin.html unbe 12-18-2005, 03:29 PM I think I see your problem, unable to translate data, why would you be concerned with average temp I wasnt talking about average temp I was talking about how cold its got here before, and funny you didnt answer the question about your choke OverBoardProject 12-18-2005, 03:37 PM Sorry I believe the chart more than I believe you. Show me a news article with -28 degree temps to prove it. Chokes don't always work on older cars, and my carb linkage must be bent a little, since even with a new mechanism it still doesn't close I'm not spending the roughly $500.00 canadian that they want for a rebuilt carb here when that's all that's wrong with mine. And i really should have installed a block heater in my motor, but haven't unbe 12-18-2005, 03:48 PM Give me some time my Internet abilities are not as strong as yours,The paticular night Im looking for is new years eve of around 83 I'll never forget it because I got a flat tire and like an idiot wasnt dressed for it.when I find the website how do I link it to this thread?
