blown fusescrooby 12-16-2005, 02:27 PM I have a 94' 3 litre v6 caravan and i keep blowing the #16 10amp fuse intermitently on start up. I checked all connections related to the fuse and everything is fine. I also checked a few relays and they seem fine. Can someone help please? waltham41 12-16-2005, 09:19 PM Did you check to make sure that a 10 amp fuse is what that slot takes? What does that slot cover on that model vehicle? scrooby 12-17-2005, 10:19 AM I have a 94' 3 litre v6 caravan and i keep blowing the #16 10amp fuse intermitently on start up. This fuse handles the fuel pump relay, auto shut down relay, engine control, and a few others that I can't remember at this moment. vamc 12-17-2005, 07:57 PM could try a 15amp fues. Mikelb 12-19-2005, 12:07 PM ^ Don't go with a larger amp fuse than manufacturer suggests... they put that there for a reason, you can be pulling too much current through the wires (even intermittently) and burn the wires up, or even catch the vehicle on fire... vamc 12-19-2005, 06:17 PM Thats true, i should have known, sorry. Mikelb 12-20-2005, 08:12 AM No problem, I'm just trying to save people some hassle... b/c I had a friend who did that... and he managed to screw up the whole wiring harness... and I used to work on car audio systems... and people tend to do it there... that's a pretty quick way to destroy a system if there's a small short or something... I'ts just some food for thought.. vamc 12-20-2005, 05:53 PM :-) vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
