Does anyone know how to increase the revolution limit (redline) on a 01+ civic, and up to what RPM it could be rised?

Well, Hondata does not offer anything for the 7th gen civics; however, AEM make an Universal Engine Management that you should be able to use to change your rev limiter setting. Check out this website.

But keep in mind that this thing costs more than $4,000 after all done and installed... Which might be overkill for a typical street car... But supposedly they are in a process of coming up with a plug and play type. I don't know when that is going to comeout.

As far as the actual limit is concerned, that is based on your springs, valves, and all the related mechanical goodies. But for a stock motor, I would think that 10 to 15 percent increase in rev limit might be safe, considering a typical good engineering practice is based on that margin of safety. Of course do this at your own accord, 'cause I don't want to be responsible. :iceslolan If I were you, I would leave the rev limit alone and put that money toward other improvements. Heck, you can boost your car for that much.

You sir *or madam* need to post more!

But as stated it wouldn't do anything with out motor work and frankly your motor isn't worth work.

Swap a K in.

Not just that is cost alot of money but it has its draw backs the AEM EMS. The 1070 is for the RSX K series motor but it can be used for your D but you loose your AC. On the other hand with the 1030 you use your stock ecu with the AEM to keep your AC. The 1070 is great if you don't mind losing your AC and temp control. Also if you want 1 ecu instead of two. You can rewire the input switch for the AC/temp on the 1070 ahhh for a few bucks but its annoying. AEM EMS should only be used for a true ALL MOTOR car or a true FORCED INDUCTION car. "simple" modded cars do not apply unless you have an extra $1000-$1500 that you won't miss. Like I said above "WHY"?
