Seems to be alright.. probably driven hard and would have to take off the spoiler and the other random ugly stuff but there's still a GSX under that wing

That looks like a nice GSX, the spoiler must go though...Also the paint job (from what I could make out from the pics) looks like it was done NOT by a professional. the exhaust muffler tip seems to be sticking out too much...Alot of little things will need to be changed, but otherwise a nice car!

Sounds like a damn good deal. I'd buy it and fix it up to look better.

I'd definetly buy that car, notice besides all the stuff listed it has a 1g intake manifold and head? probably a whole 6-bolt swap.

I agree about the paint, definitely looks DIY.. would probably paint it a nice dark blue anyways.

I'm a little wary about the price seeing as how stock GSX's go for 8-12k..

What should I look for if I went to look at it? Obviously rust and body damage, what else?

just look at everything make sure it all looks in order. Ask to do a compression test, drive it, see how much better it pulls than your civic :grinyes:

Yeah looks ok, did you see where he said the tranny needs to be rebuilt? Looks to me like a fixer upper, the paint looked passable, but not great by any means and I didnt like the guage cluster. However I liked that spoiler. If you can get it for cheap, I would do it.

I agree, it looks like the previous owner didnt take that great care of his/her car. It all depends on how far you live from this car, and if you are mechanically inclined...DSM are labor intensive, but are still hella-fun.

You dont want the tranny giving out on you going home.

Actually no I didn't see the tranny part.. probably won't bother then, don't have enough saved to buy it and do a tranny rebuild.

I know you are just jealous that you got stuck with a "GSX" that extra letter 'X' is just adding weight to your car...silly fool.

It's had a 6-bolt swap done, with what looks like most of the basic A/F and other misc mods. I'd pay as much as $6500 for that car.

If I had the money I'd buy it, and rebuild the tranny with better gearing and an open diff... but I don't :crying:

I would go for it. TRE can make you an excellent tranny for about grand, with some upgrades. I think its a great deal.

Well good to see someone can save it. Wish I had about 10 grand to dump into it.
