It's been awhile. I was driving home from my weekend back to Paso following a green gmc sierra that I didn't pay attention to at first...we were both in the left lane and when the car in front of him moved into the right lane to let him pass, thick black smoke poured out of his pipe and he took off at a pretty good clip...I thought why the hell not, and after a couple seconds of deliberating, decided to give chase...well as luck would have it, we encountered another slower car in the left lane and I was able to get right up on him...as soon as the car went into the right line, I was better prepared...when the thick black smoke poured out his exhaust this time, I was already on it...we were going about 65 when we first hit it...he immediately got a truck length on me and I was like "oh shit"...but I stopped his pull slowly but surely and by the time we hit 90 mph I was 1/2 a car off his back bumper and starting to reel him in...I swung out into the right lane to see a car about 1/4 mile or so up in the distance...I had just pulled up even with his door to see his "banks tuned" emblem when I had to slam on the brakes and get in behind him to avoid plowing into the car ahead of me...after I ducked in behind him I noticed I was low on gas, so I left off, flashed my high beams at him a couple times, and pulled off at the next gas station...damn, those banks tuned trucks are pretty quick, even up top where they are aerodynamically challenged.

Cliff notes: Reeled in a banks-tuned sierra TD on the highway.

Raced one when I had my Eclipse, I wasn't expecting for him to keep up like he did but by the beginning of 3rd I had a couple car lead. They really aren't that fast, just faster than expected.
