Hello everyone, I have a 1992 4RUNNER, V6 AUTOMATIC, 4x4 with A340H Transmission.. with 31x10 15x7 rims and tire size.

When driving in a striaght road or freeway can anyone make it over 90 mile per hour range? or 100 MPH..., mine will only make it to 70 MPH on the freeway and 40 MPH or less giong uphill, I have adjust the throttle and nothing change, am I having a transmission problem? or is this normal?.., when I first start to move the truck it start like it is giong to die then I think when it change gear it started to run fine, the cat. convertor is making a sluggish noise so is this the cause of a slow speed? I haven't change the fuel filter or pump, my transmission just had a fluid change but haven't change the filter or the solenoid. Any suggestion can be helpful, thanks..!

If the cat is clogged up it will kill you power and you'll go slower

My Dad has a 1990 4runner 2.2 4 cylinder Manual Tranny and when we are on the highway with 2 canoes on top of the roof, the truck tops out at 100 km an hour(about 60 Mph). It won't go much faster than that even without the canoes. (about 125kph or 70 mph) It has amazing low end togue though for ripping it through the bush.
