Bucking like a bronco kcorry 12-08-2005, 02:34 PM
Hey everyone, I am need of a mental check. I recently had the Rodeo serviced (Oil, Plugs - OEMs, Radiator flush, checked ATF and IMG - which had no leaks), within the past two weeks my truck started bucking in first gear and I noticed small leaks in the driveway. If I accel slow, it shifts fine anytime other than that forgetaboutit!! I have also noticed that when I am making turns, it also bucks and the RPMs jump up over 2000. The temps started to drop here in the Mid-Atl region. Question to my fellow members...Could it be the MAF? Bad IMG? or tranny? To top things off...no CEL. Thanks again for all the help. KC amigo-2k 12-08-2005, 03:08 PM could be a bad IMG or your range senor (that controls the tranny) is dirty or dieing. kcorry 12-08-2005, 03:32 PM Hey Ryan, Thanks for the heads-up. I had the Range Sensor replaced about 2 months ago at the stealership. Just called the dealer to make an appt. I may go ahead and get the IMG done so I don't have to do it later down the road. Thanks, KC rodeo02 12-08-2005, 03:46 PM A more advanced code reader/scanner should be able to pickup pending codes to help pinpoint this. Are you 100% sure the OEM denso or champion plugs were used? If plugs are ok, I'd guess an IMG is shot. G/luck Joel kcorry 12-12-2005, 11:41 AM Hey Guys, Well, my mechanic found the problem. The accumulator cover was shot and was leaking ATF. The cover kit is coming in today and will be repaired for $300. Just in time for the Holidays. Merry Christmas, KC directory 12-12-2005, 02:26 PM ouch..$300 right before christmas, that's not fun!
