My boys where playing in the car and rubbing the top liner in the cabin, I told them to stop after I saw them, then checked to see if they got it dirty, I noticed that it started to fall down and keeps getting worse, have put pins up but is not a pretty site anymore. Age I guess. Any Recommendations would be just nice! Thanks!

You can try making a repair with superglue.

Poke a small screwdriver thru the headliner and squirt superglue around the edges of the hole.

The cork screw type pins work the best. Best off getting a whole new headliner down the road. They are a beast to get out with out damaging as they can be very brittle.

Once it starts, you can't stop it!! It is like gravity takes hold of the headliner and just pulls it down. Hot climates tend to shorten their life also. Just find a good upholstry shop that does custom work and let them do it. I have done several and it is not worth the time and effort to save a few bucks!

Everywhere I know of down here charges 100 bucks for a new headliner. For about 40 dollars more they'll replace your sun faded inner c-pillar upholstry.

Actually I think it's because the foam backing is REALLY thick, much thicker than alot of other liners I've seen. Probably for sound deadening purposes to say the least.

My wife and I have re-fabed all of our cars and no sag porblems other than the PA.

Ok, the price is really high, about 250, to have someone replace the liner, the dealer is wanting about 6 hundred with install. what is the trick on getting the headliner out of the car? I'd like to give it a shot but don't want to damage it. What do I need to do this? And last, can I do this without taking the headliner out?

If I remember correctly, position o fthe seats had to be changed a couple of times. But if the backing foam is dry and brittle, it's still going to crack.

600 bucks?! Are they nuts?!! For that much they'd better include new visor and seat upholstery! I'm guessing they're charging a good sum of money because they have to carefully remove and reinstall the roof mounted handles/ dome lights.
I do know that the seal between the headliner and where the top of the doors meet will simply pull right off, and requires no sealant, it simply snuggly slides right back into the frame. The side panels where the seatbelts are located may need to be pulled out also (be very careful with these, they're made of very flimsy plastic that breaks very easily...I know from personal experience ;) ) the rear panels pull right off also. Once you have this all removed, you should have access to install a new headliner. I'd shop around a little more..250-600 just sounds too much to me.
