Hello people!I checked my check engine code light and its 22 and that error code is my engine coolant temp sensor. Its out of range so it says. What does this mean?I want to know how to fix this problem?Buy new sensors or clean the ones I have?I hate to see my check engine light on!!!Any help will be great. Thanks :(

I'm no mechanic dude, but isn't that the thermostat?

Is your car overheating at all? You could have a bad temperature sensor if you're not overheating. I would get it checked into asap. It would suck of you car overheated and the temp sensor didn't kick in so that the temp gauge on your dash would warn you. Overheating will cause you to blow a head gasket and even severely damage your motor.

No my car is not over heating. The temp gauge does'nt even make it half way.Its either my sensor on my cat/or the one after the cat.I'll check them both soon.Hell-how knows? It could be my thermostat.Well not likely(HeHe).Just jokeing dnkygirl!!!Thanks people

I told you i was no mechanic.. ;o) I've not even attempted to do anything to the engine bay.. and that's probably a good idea.

Its not hard @ all until you get inside the engine.Thats when it gets tricky, and I call on my brother. He's worked on neon in and out, among other cars.Just peek in undo some things and try to put them back together. At least if you mess up you know you did it,and not the mechanic you payed xxxxx amount to fix it.Thanks people!:)
