1996 Tahoe Idle SurgeJimmyCricket 12-05-2005, 12:20 PM Hoping someone can help. I have a customer with a 96 Tahoe. When the car is warm and outside temp is fairly high (around85) the vehicle will intermittently surge or crawl while sitting at a stoplight. It is severe enough that it will pull the vehicle out in the intersection if you're not standing on the brakes. Has anyone ever seen this before? Any Ideas? To date I have replaced the map sensor, tps, iac, and a relay in the A/C system. Also, I cleaned the tb, reset minimum idle air 4 or 5 times, and created an adjustable tps. All to no avail. This vehicle has the 5.7 w/ TBI, and nothiing fancy. Basic factory stuff except for a TBI riser and a Kenwood system. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am afraid to do any more since I am already out-of-pocket on this one. Thanks and Ciao, Cricket vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
