we have a 2000 impala with 120k that kills at take off (no check engine light) & the heater doesnt blow hot. the a/c works fine tho & the heater core IS still hooked up.

what engine? is the temp gauge moving ? open hood and feel top radiator hose while running,is it cold or hot?

Any goo in recovery tank?(black dirty stuff)

Sounds to me coolant is not circulating through the engine, does the temp gauge go up and down quickly?
