The name is was supposed to designate its weight as 900kg, but it is really about 1100 (2500lbs). Still, with a 350hp Corvette V8, it does 0-60 in 3.4 seconds (granted, with the short gearing, it could only achieve 150mph) . A Lingenfelter engine would fit in also, however. So it could potenitally have well over 800 hp from a TT 427ci Lingenfelter V8. In a vette, this gives a 1.97 second 0-60. With wider wheels and lighter weight, who knows what could happen:devil:

It was designed entirely on the computer using GM's system in exchange for some other stuff (not sure exactly, will find out eventually).
It is made of carbon fiber and aluminum honeycomb, mainly, and is very strong and light. It comes with 20 inch wheels, is mid-engined, and has 2 corvette seats. It also uses Corvette suspension as a base, but with 14 inch brakes.
Total cost is over 100grand with 350hp, figure 200+ for a 800hp beast.

Nice indeed. You might have noticed that Motor Trends reviews are always are quite a bit faster than anyone elses. Want to know why? They use slicks to test the cars. The 0-60 in 2 seconds flat came with drag slicks, not street tires. There is no way to put down 800hp on street tires below 100mph...

Anywhoo, this would be quite nice with the Lingenfelter TT LS1...

Although it did use slick for MT (the vette), it still had massive wheelspin and it shimmied a fair bit. Since the MT900 has much larger tires (2 inches taller, and about 2 or 3 inches wider), with good tires, it would help to make up for the loss in traction provided by slicks. If you were to put slicks on an MT900, it would be fairly insane:D

Yeah, for sure. I thought the MT story was pretty bogus. You can't run 9 seconds on street tires. Well, maybe a properly prepped 4wd car could...

It looks quite nice, I think it would benefit from a TT LS1..

I just need to clarify, it was not done using GM's system. It was done using Unigraphics, which GM also uses. There was no exchange with GM for anything.

Last year a silver one passed me on the street, I was dumbfounded!
At first I thought it was a Jag. Then I went and looked up every exotic car I could find. It was the mosler.

The silver prototype gets quite a few miles put on it in the West Palm Beach, FL and Albany, GA areas.

Funny this topic came back up,
I stopped by the Morison shop yesterday, the yellow one is gone but they had one rolling race chassis with body and glass mounted but minus engine/tranny and paint(and a few other things). It looks better in person and it sits lower than I thought. I’m very impressed with it. They had another one in the early build stage.

ye i also heard you can mount a lingenfelter twin turbo package on top of mosler, they have to do some additional work to adapt it to the car.
I m looking to buy the mosler street version but with the exterior as the racing version, there is one which runs in the british gt and it looks great.
Just here in europe, mosler told me that they will send them at end of 2004

I love this car. Interesting thing about the MT test where it blew out the competition and record book. I e-mailed Mosler about the weird citation of a top speed around 165. It turns out that the Photon used had an untest rear lip and that some of the wires were arching, causing severe powere loss. These unfortunate circumstances more that negate MT's crazy tests, suggesting that the Photon, unmodified, eats cars like the Enzo for breakfast.

Incredible. Just Incredible.

ye i saw also that 165mph around.
among all others i think is a very racing car, even the street version remains in fact built as a racing car and its shape is unique.
i m going this summer in england by martin short of rollcenter to see it and there order it
