Remote start+Door locksswed173 12-03-2005, 03:35 AM I was thinking of putting a remote start and keyless entry system in my 97 Lumina. First of all, I have heard how tricky it can be, but i;m still willing to give it a try. Does anyone know if the door locks are positive, negative, or reverse polarity. Also, What is a DEI starter and are Commando systems any good. Thanx For The Help tblake 12-04-2005, 11:30 PM dei tend to not have very good range. I would recommend the one I have, its an ultrastart 1250 mad by ast, you can read up on it at ultrastarters.com. Compustar are pretty decent units also. I believe the door locks are posative triggered, so you will need a couple relays if your starter has negative outputs. You can head on over to http://www,bulldogsecurity.com and get a vehicle tech sheet on your car that will give you wire locations and colors to simplify the install process. Even though you may not have a bulldog starter, this will work reguardless. Rubicon1 12-05-2005, 01:23 AM You'll also have to purchase a module to bypass the VATS system for it to work. swed173 12-05-2005, 01:49 PM Thanks For The information. I was actually also looking for a place to get the wiring diagrams. Thanks again.
