Hello all. I just totalled my '04 Colorado and I'm considering buying a 05 or 06 Grand Cherokee. I have a few questions for any owners out there....

the obvious one...how do you like it? Any problems/issues?
Any options you wish you got or didn't get?

I don't own one but I work on them.I would say get the 4.7,the hemi is great but it's a pig on gas.If you don't care about that go all out and get an SRT8 with the 6.1 hemi.420 horse,I believe.The 3.7 is a joke,it's great in a Liberty but not a Grand.The early 05's had a few electrical issues but overall they seem pretty reliable.

Thanks, good info. No, wont be going for the V8...need somewhat decent gas mileage. How do the tranny's hold up?

The transmissions are pretty decent,if you go with th 3.7 ,it comes with a German trans,and from what I have seen,it's pretty good,unless water gets inside it.

on the 95 / 96 the inline 4.0 six is the best motor. been around longer than 5.2 318cu. I've owned several jeeps-cj's, wrangler, and now a 95 limited 5.2. Also sold them 90-96. Great vehicles. Highly recomend them!
