1993 JGC 4.0l No startmyjeepsux420 12-02-2005, 12:53 PM Ok, so my mom has a 1993 with a 4.0l The Jeep wouldn't start two days ago, so we left key on for about a minute and then tried to start the engine. It fired right up and showed no hesitation. It started fine the next day, but yesterday night it wouldn't start. With key on the check engine light does come on for a few seconds and then goes out, but it will not start. I did verify it has spark, but I didn't have enough time to check to hear if the pump was coming on. The pump was replaced about a year and a half ago. I'm thinking it's the pcm and not the cps because once it's running it does great. This Jeep has suffered from extended cranking for over a year, but this is the first time it has failed to start. Any ideas? LELeach 12-03-2005, 05:14 PM I just posted a long scenario re my 1994 JGC for Rough Idle and No Start Problem. Check it out. Mine was a fuel pump. myjeepsux420 12-05-2005, 02:28 PM Once it does start it runs fine, no hesitation The fuel pump was replaced less than a year ago. When the pump went bad it acted completely different. myjeepsux420 12-07-2005, 02:07 PM Anyone else have any ideas? Funny side note: My Mom borrowed her friend's 1986 Toyota 4x4 truck and this morning it over heated. The outside temp here in Colorado this morning is -6 degrees. The radiator was frozen and so were all the hoses. It did not crack the block or pop a freeze plug. WOW It's at Firestone thawing out and then getting a flush and fill. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
