Hey,
I've read most of the threads here on this topic - is there any way to get the problem codes off the '96 GC Laredo. The Laredo as far as I know doesn't have the same HVAC controls as the Limited.
The problem - No heat at all.
Blower works fine, AC works, all blower settings work, fluid (coolant) levels good, and heater core hoses hot on both inlet and exit (which would suggest coolant flow through the core).
I have read about the blend air doors having the tendency to break. Is there any way that I could confirm this before dismantling the dash? Also, is there any way it could be a simple fuse/resistor.
Please help, I can use all the ideas I can get!!

Thanks,
JR

well ther eis no way to extract the HVAC codes on the Temp control w/out ATC.

If both the inlet and return hoses for the Heater core are hot and you do not have heat, then I would think you BLEND AIR DOOR is stuck in the cold position.

I think you are right on the money with that, The quetion I have is how do you get to the blend air door? to at least get it open for the winter?
I have a Chilton manual but I don;t see any reference to it. Thanks

It involves removing the HVAC Housing from the jeep (which Involves removing the dash).

If you email me, I can get you the instructions.
