First thing they call for new bolts on mains and rods. Have you got new bolts?
The old torque angle thing. Tighten them down and streach them out a little and hope they do not break. :grinno:
Do you need the specs on side bolts and jack screws?
I can put it in a PDF and post a link to it later on tonight.
Reply back so I can find you post later tonight.

You are welcome on the info. Make sure you copy it off the site.
On the bolts felpro gaskets comes into mind.
But check local parts places or your ford dealer.
And engine rebuilders should have a source to them.
I never got into it but looks like a lot of bolts.
Thanks to the torque and yeild or the streach them out setup. I always cross my fingers when I put the final streach on head bolts.
Makes me nervice as a cat on a hot tin roof. :grinno:
Good luck MT

Oh no.
If you are asking about the specs I posted they were taken form mitchell repair book.
If it is locked up you have a problem some place.
Loosen it up untill you find the lock up.
Start with rod bolts. One rod at a time.
Did you turn it as you was torquing it down?

Summit Racing has every ARP bolt you could imagine and probably some you can't. www.summitracing.com , should have what you need in their online catalog.

I dont even have the rods in it yet just the crank. Its was all good until I did step 2 turning them an additional 90 degrees. I will break them apart one by one and see

Ok also get some plasti gauge and check your bearing clearance.
A light torque to the extra 90 degreees should not make that much difference on bearing clearance.
Let us know how it goes.
