I own a 98 Honda Passport/Isuzu v6 3.2 L 4X4 with over 143,000 miles it
was running great after i changed the oil/air filter, sparkplugs,
brakepads & rotors. Recently i attempted to change the serpentine belt & tentioner & that's where my problem is. I've accidently stripped
the left threaded mounting hole, my question is do i have to tap & rethread the mounting hole? or can i use the unthreaded hole next to it ?
It seems that the unthreaded hole will line up with the tensioner tightning hole in the center. Also is the left threaded mounting hole directly in the engine block or is that a bracket that i can drill all the through & just put a nut on the bolt?
