Those low pro 2"-3" high side walls will not ride worth a darn. I like my 265x70x17 just fine. That 245x35x22 crap won't cut it.

Me too. The suspension is DESIGNED for 17" rims, period. In fact I like them so much, I have 2 sets :)

The newish 20" GM wheels are just GM's reaction to get some of that aftermarket wheel business. But they're pretty insistant that 20" is the max with the current brake, and suspension design.

I have 20"s on my Yukon and the ride is fine. You may want to go down to a 20" rim.

What size tire are you using? I have 305/45/22's on my Denali and they ride just fine. The ride is a little stiffer than stock but it handles much better and their is not as much bounce over bumps. One of the replies suggested using 285/35/22's, that's way too small and not enough sidewall for a comfortable ride. Some people like 40's, but I think the 45's give more cushion and a better ride.

I have 20s on my 03 SLT and am good with it. Of course, the ride is stiffer than the original 16s but those were rediculous and the car didn;t handle worth a crap with them which is why I installed the 20s. y previous truck was a lifter big tyred toyota 4x4 which was stiff as all hell so the Yukon actually rides like a dream compared to that beast.

I am running 305/40/22 - General Tire on it.

Will a 45 make that much of a difference?

The 45's should help a little but maybe changing the tire brand may help also. I'm running Nitto 404 extremes on my Denali and my ride is very nice. I've heard that Generals are a very long lasting tire and very stiff.

I have a 2002 gmc sierra and I went to 20" wheels with 285/50s it rides fine but after 2 years I took of the 20" wheels and put the stock wheels back on, and let me tell you it does make a big difference, with the stock wheels the truck feels lighter and smoother than with the 20", now I'm thinking of going back with 18" wheels.

I have 305/50/20 on my 2005 yukon, toyo proxies and they ride nice...not as good as the 17's ........they handle real nice on country roads...i keep them for the sumer months and use the 17's for the winter...another thing they say the dealer will not warranty the vehicle with anything over 20 inch....
