I was looking at a new silverado today and i noticed that they don't have the 350 anymore. They dont even have the 454 anymore. Do they still make these for anything anymore?

They have all been replaced with the current lineup, about 7 years ago. Dispite what GM says, they are a refinement of the old pushrod designs, but IMO are the only advanced pushrod engines sold in north America, except for the new Hemi's.

If you have never driven one, you won't miss the 350 and 454 at all when you do.

There are a few good choices of engines in the GM line up
4.8L=292ci
5.3L=325ci
6.0L=366ci
8.1L=495ci
And if you want a real work horse, look into the 6.6L Duramax
It all depends on what chassis size you are looking at that will determine which engine you can get.

GM has a lot of new engines such as the 505 hp LS7, Cadillac's 320 hp 4.6 liter Northstar V8 and their supercharged 4.4 liter 440-plus hp V8, 291 hp 4.2 liter I-6, and they are coming out with new V8 engines for the new SUVs and trucks such as the 6.2 liter.
