Just a quick inquary. What are the steps involved in swaping the tranny out of a 94 grand cherokee 4.0L I6? From the engine, to the Transfer Case(may be replacing transfer case as well).

Have noticed there is a crossmember right under the tranny. lol. does this mean i'll have to take the transfer case and tranny out at the same time?

remove and then replace in reverse order. not too hard, just use some marking tape to mark where the wires and cables go.

transfer case input spline goes into the transmission. remove the tc then the tranny. the plugs only go on the right connectors as failsafe.
Good luck!

will the tranny fit between the crossmember of the frame? or am i imagining a problem when there isn't one?

you need to remove the cross member.
