Jeep GC 2000 broken power lock 1 door ??Ascloh 11-29-2005, 12:08 AM Yesterday the power lock quit working on my front passenger door. Any idea why or how to fix it? The slide lock does not work and the remote doesn't either. So in other words, I cannot open the door at all. It is locked shut. Suggestions? jman2343 11-29-2005, 08:01 AM Yesterday the power lock quit working on my front passenger door. Any idea why or how to fix it? The slide lock does not work and the remote doesn't either. Sad thing is your going to have to remove the door panel to get in there to see whats going on... which you need the door open to do... dkseattle 01-11-2006, 06:05 PM Yesterday the power lock quit working on my front passenger door. Any idea why or how to fix it? The slide lock does not work and the remote doesn't either. So in other words, I cannot open the door at all. It is locked shut. Suggestions? I have the same problem wth my Jeep GC 2000. It started on one of the rear doors and has progressed to all 4 doors. The inability to even slide the door lock from the inside is limited to the two rear doors. However, I've found that the way around this is to unlock the doors by pressing the button on the driver's control panel, and then you'll be able to manually slide the rear door buttons. The dealer told me that the lock actuators need to be replaced. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
