Noise in the rear tire

There is a noise in the rear right tire. I took it off and the drum look like it was bent. It was snowing friday night here and my brother took my car
he said that he almost spun out but he maintain control he said that he hit the curb prety hard with the rear tire. Is this something that i can fix my self or do i need to take it to a shop.

If it's just the drum as you say then all you have to do it go to napa and get a new one. your better off getting a new one for the left side also. it's like having 2 new pairs of shoes. you wouldn't like to have one new one and used used one. it just wouldn't feel right. check the pads while your att it and see if they need replacing as well.

When you have the drum off make sure the hub is straight and nothing there is bent. Spin the hub, if it wobbles the entire hub assembly has to be changed as the bearing is pressed onto the hub and is only sold as a unit and acutally quite easy to replace. Also, check the rim make sure thats not bent as well, usually the rim is the first to bend. Good luck.
