Ok, im new so dont start razzin me about this question. How do you get an avatar? ive seen some cool ones and i was just wondering how to go about putting one under my name. thanks for the help.

Make sure to check out the FAQ (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/misc.php?action=faq), but I don't remember if it mentions that you can't use an avatar until you make 100 posts.

Ok, i have now reached 104 posts, i went to the edit profile and all, i went to the change avatar and when it says heres the available avatars there isnt any. Is there no avatars available here? Do i have to search for a picture somewhere then? please help. thanks again guys.

Most of the othe boards I'm a part of let you use a custom avatar right off the bat. Why not here? I mean really just starting off not knowing anyone here {like myself} it takes a while to get 100 posts on any board. Unless you spend alot of time here. C'mon big guys let the little newbies use there own avatars from the start, HOOAH

Well, currently we have it set up that you can get one after you have 100 posts. Sorry. But that just shows the level of commitment in my opinion. To be honest, not shooting down the other forums that you're in, but once you come here, you'll be surprised with the amount of information that comes through here how fast you'll hit that and beyond. Trust me. I've been here long enough to see people hit 100 in their first week here and not necessarily be a post whore to do it.

Let me see if I understand this,do you have to subscribe to a specific forum to get 100 posts for an avatar?Some would say that it is being a post whore.

To the best of my understanding, you have never had to subscribe to any one forum for an avatar. 100 posts is 100 posts so long as it takes place on AF. Besides, you don't need 100 posts to get an avatar anymore.
