CivSiGuy 05-31-2002, 11:50 PM if you sift thru the FAQ at the top of the board, you'll find answers to almost all of your questions rockerdude 06-02-2002, 03:43 AM intake, the best for honda is AEM, best exhaust i don't know but a Greddy is a good choice, and for headers get a 4-1 DC headers. it' still pointless in the end to fix up a d16y8. SlammedCivicSedan 06-02-2002, 10:18 AM why is it pointless to hook up a d16y8? VTEC_boi 06-02-2002, 03:54 PM www.geocities.com/lunspeed/Keith.html it's not pointless boost ownz! But, it's header for one thing. Civics have inline 4-cyl. engines. Thus only one header. Check out the FAQ. It's there because this question is frequently asked. So, Frequently Asked Questions is a great place to find an answer! h82lose 06-02-2002, 04:15 PM Hey what are you running on that? Whats your boost? VTEC_boi 06-02-2002, 04:40 PM Originally posted by h82lose Hey what are you running on that? Whats your boost? Anyone know why in the world he's asking this? rockerdude 06-02-2002, 06:15 PM you ask why. I don't how many of you ever race a EX before, but I know for a fact from many experience that no one running with a d16y8 can beat a person running with a d16y7. VTEC on a SOHC is not good as it is on DOHC. So running without VTEC on a SOHC is better than running with VTEC. Just my opinion, nothing base on facts about my VTEC theory, so please don't go all crazy on me because you disagree. VTEC_boi 06-02-2002, 07:38 PM Originally posted by rockerdude you ask why. BAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH AHHAHAHAhAhAHAHHAAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!! ditto :) Seriously though, I've seen some crazy SOHC (VTEC inside - always) civics driving around that have power coming out the wazoo. They're not gonna flex on a viper anytime soon, but still. And I'm sure I'm not the only one out there who's seen these marvels of automotive get-up-and-go. rockerdude 06-04-2002, 04:27 AM Maybe I was wrong about Sohc VTEC, I think it comes down to the driver ability. I'm able to beat Integ, GSX, FC3S, and so on with my barely stock d16y7 running with only a intake and exhaust. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
