I have a 73 Nova that Ive been driving around lately, but the other day when I went to start it up the ignition wouldn't turn to start(it does turn, and my batteries not dead). Was wondering if there's anything I can do to fix this.

I had a similar problem with my 71. On mine the wiring had pretty much just corroded away. If there is no noise from the starter at all the first thing I would do is test teh starter by running power directly to the starter, bypassing the solenoid and all the other wiring. If the starter works, check the wiring between the key and the starter. the wiring on the mine just wore out over time.

Scratch all that, I didn't see that you said that it does turn. If it does turn but dosnt start, the first thing I always check is the spark. Take a sparkplug cap off an without touching the metal, hold it close to a ground on the car (frame or engine) If there is a strong sparks across the gap, then most likely there is a problem with feul getting to the cylenders. If there is no spark or a really weak spark, check the ignition system (cap, rotor, spark plugs, plug wires) on mine, the points and small parts of the distributer were always going bad. I went to an electronic ignition and have had no problems at all (plus had a little horsepower gain:)
