my friend raced one time tonight and lossed more than his pride97 neon 11-25-2005, 02:31 AM hey, this is the guy who use to street race all the time, but not now, this kid that i grew up with, me and him were best friends, and then he got his first car, a 1990 mustang 5.0 5spd, he called me up to tell me he wanted to go racing, i said sure, so i show up at his house and he follows my neon down to the race strip on a back road in pennslyvania, some ricers are making fun of him because he did not want to race a honda civic, he then says the word that will be burned into my mind forever......yes. they line up and my friend wanted me to flag the race, so i did, i raised my hands into the air and my friend and this asshole named joe in his "fast 1998 honda civic" rev there motors and i drop, they both rocket off, i then turned around to get out of the street, all i could here was the engines reving, and then.....i heard a tire squeal and then a loud boom, i turn back around and i could see headlights, i get into my neon and go after my friend,......the mustang was on its roof, and my friend ejected from the car.......i tried to wake him up and i could not....i waited for the other racer to come back,..but everyone got into there cars and left..my friends life is over because of a stupid race that i flagged. there was a ditch besides the road, and a tire mark, i dont know what made him hit it, but when he did he skidded across the road and flipped.a race.....i had to tell his parents what happen...i felt like crap..i knew this kid sense elementary school...and now no more, i am going to race my neon on that road one last time, and then im done forever...... TatII 11-25-2005, 03:07 AM he flew out of the car? did he even have his seat belt on? going down a short straight in a 5.0 would not be going fast enough to ripe the belt. well i must say that i'm sorry your friend wasn't so lucky cause my friends have gotten into different car accidents such a being in a car when it flipped over ( he came out with only scratches and bruises ) and my other friend hit a divider head on at 85+ in a 90 corolla with those bootleg seat belts on and came out with only bruises, or my friend tryin to drift is GTi mark III into a tree at 75 mph dead on, and he came out with only scratches. well i guess my friends were all very lucky. well my condolences to you. and just to let you know, all of those crashes that my friends got into, they were not racing. ( well except for the GTi, he was tryin to mess around ) the rest of them were all from other people hitting them when they were just driving regularly. Steiner 11-25-2005, 03:42 AM Hmmm. Sounds like BS. If not I apologize but there are sick fucks out there who get off on the reactions they get from posting stories like these online. If that's you, I wish you nothing but pain and misfortune in your life. If it's not you and the story is true, I have no idea why you feel the need to race one more time on that street. That seems disrespectful and hypocrytical to me. -The Stig- 11-25-2005, 04:15 AM Hmm, I did a quick search of your home town and found no reports of a 'Street Racing' death, or anything that could be considered related.. such as drunk or wreckless driving. Seems a bit fishy... but I won't dive into that... Anywho... us at AF know what it's like to lose somebody, just this year we lost a moderator and more importantly a good friend of ours in a random car accident... 209 SRT 11-25-2005, 04:23 AM yeah man I am sorry for your loss....but it might not be a good idea for you to race on that road anymore.....not one more time not ever....I never had this type of experience and I hope I never will or anybody else.....if this is true this is really tragic..nobody deserves to go out like this..... 97 neon 11-25-2005, 04:28 AM i did not lie, how could you people even say something like that,"it could be bs" i could never do that, i am never racing again...ever, but shit happens, i just wish i would have never helped him get that car...damn-and sense when do you have to look up something to see if it true...in a case like this i just put this up here so people would think twice about racing, i wish i would have 97 neon 11-25-2005, 04:33 AM and another note before i go to work, he had no belt on...i thank all who actually have a heart..i am going to close this thread now.. -The Stig- 11-25-2005, 04:33 AM Sorry, but what steiner said is true... we're just trying to keep the place real. Hope you understand. We're all sorry for your loss, it's never easy. TatII 11-25-2005, 04:36 AM i did not lie, how could you people even say something like that,"it could be bs" i could never do that, i am never racing again...ever, but shit happens, i just wish i would have never helped him get that car...damn-and sense when do you have to look up something to see if it true...in a case like this i just put this up here so people would think twice about racing, i wish i would have yes racing is dangerous but like i said before. my friends have had their car flip over and hit a light post going 70mph, crashed into a divider going 85 mph when not racing. and one of our moderators just died when his tire blew out. trust me there are just as high chances of dying on the road just driving as it is racing. cause when your not racing, not as alert so you might not fully pay attention to what other people are doing thus causing you to get owned. and him not wearing a belt is completely his fault and its yoru fault for letting him race without one on. if he had the belt on i would garantee you that he would've lived cause my friends got into waaaay worse accidents with only scratches all becasue they got their belts on ( and let me remind you again, they weren't racing whent hey crashed ) -The Stig- 11-25-2005, 04:48 AM Now Tat, let's not be unfair... we don't know if the guy was wearing a belt or not. That detail wasn't given to us, so lets not assume that he was or wasn't. Remember, Andy was allegedly wearing his seatbelt and he was still thrown from his car when he had his accident. So, it can go both ways. Also, please don't blame this poor guy for his friend crashing his car. We're all at the controls of the car, nobody points a gun at us and tells us to race. It's all our own decision. Lets be a bit more civil shall we? C'mon... it was his friend... give the boy a break. TatII 11-25-2005, 04:59 AM and another note before i go to work, he had no belt on...i thank all who actually have a heart..i am going to close this thread now.. there you go matt, he had no belt on. i don't even let my friend drive regularly if he has no belt on. sometimes he forgets and i remind him. 209 SRT 11-25-2005, 05:04 AM he did say he wasnt wearing a belt red.......as for tat yeah man you really cant put the blame on anybody in this situation due to the fact that he himself decided to race and he himself new the concequences (sp)...... -The Stig- 11-25-2005, 05:12 AM Shit, sorry about that Tat... I didn't see that post of his... my bad. TatII 11-25-2005, 05:34 AM its okay red, this thread is going pretty fast. i missed a few things you said too cause its updating as we type. anyways i'm not saying its all his fault. but the seltbelt is a BIG thing. if he had worn the seat belt he would've still been here. it has nothing to do with street racing. someone can rear end him while hes on the highway and he still would've been thrown out the wind sheld and still died. if he didn't race, he would've gotten killed in another situation no questions asked. it is almost not humanly possible to survive any kind of major accident without the selt belt on. caleb56 11-25-2005, 01:29 PM and another note before i go to work, he had no belt on...i thank all who actually have a heart..i am going to close this thread now.. alright well how about a news report on the accident. I am not trying to be a dick but when i lost one of my friends from street racing, they reported it on the news. I just want to hear what the news said in your home town. I believe they should have a website you can go to so you can look it up. Musashi3000GT 11-25-2005, 05:15 PM I never race on a road that I am not familiar with. Streetracing has its risks, but then theres being stupid. not wearing your seatbelt, not knowing the condition of the road, having a car that is fast enought to go from zero to flipped over in less then 50ft and not getting a cage in it......what can I say? some people pay the ultimate prize. :disappoin -The Stig- 11-25-2005, 05:21 PM I'm going to close this... Once again, we're sorry for your loss. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
