We recently purchased a new 05 Honda Civic SI and there is some sort of alarm system installed.
I checked the user manual as well as the others supplied with the car and I can not find any reference to it.

The reason that I know that there is an alarm system is that the horn started blaring (sp) at about 3 am the other morning and it stopped when we pressed the remote key a couple of times.

Does anyone know if this alarm is standard equipment on this model and simply missing from the manual?
If so, where do I get additional info about it?

If you just bought it and do not know what you have seeing the dealer would be best.

Simple test lock with remote, then unlock and open passenger door with key. You will then know.

I * know * that the car is equipped with an alarm.
My question was is the alarm included in the base '05 SI model.
