Hi, we have a 2000 Pontiace Bonneville, and want to flush the cooling system, and put a new mixture of coolant in. I have looked all over the sides of the radiator and the bottom of it, but cannot find the drain valve to drain the radiator. Would it be hidden under the black plastic sheild that is under the radiator and under the car?
Oh it has the 3800 Series II engine in her.

Thanks Joe

Depending on whether or not you have the L67 (supercharged) or the L36 (non supercharged) engine, there are two coolant drain plugs. On the L67, the drain plugs are underneath the front & rear cylinder wall area of the engine block around the mid point of the block. Access from under car. On the L36, the coolant drain plugs are in the area under the water pump outlet. Probably remove right front wheel, wheelhouse panel & extension to gain access.

Mark thanks for writing back. We have the non supercharged engine. This weekend coming I will give it a try and get it done.
Thanks for the reply.

I know for a fact that most pre-00 have a plastic/metal plug at the bottom of the radiator on the driver side..not sure about the 2000+ though.
